When I look back over 2015, only one word comes to mind…..WOW!
When I started my photography business back in 2010, I had no idea where it would take me or who I would meet along the way. Professionally and personally, I could not have asked for more! The new relationships I have have made, and the destinations I have traveled, have made an ever lasting impression on my heart. Thank you is not sufficient enough to express my gratitude and joy for the incredible adventures my clients provided me this past 12 months. It was an honor to photograph you all! And, as I look forward to 2016….I am beyond excited about what is to come.
So, here’s a little glimpse at a few of my personal favorites of some amazing people and memorable moments.
2015 started with an amazing destination wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic as Angie and Brad said “I Do” on the white sandy beaches in the Caribbean. This wedding will always be one of my favorites not just because of the stunning destination, but because of the many friendships that were formed from this trip.
Paris is always a good idea……
What can I say about going to France, except it was a dream come true!
While in Burgundy, France at the Chateau De Varennes it only seemed natural to be shooting film again. I absolutely fell in love with my Contax 645 all over again! The chapel we used was located in the back of the Chateau and was over 900 years old. It’s hard to express what it was like to photograph in a chapel this old, it felt as if every wedding before had left its own mark on the building and while I was photographing this couple, they too were leaving their mark. By far my all time favorites!!!! (all images shot on film)
The White Sparrow is a beautiful, vintage white barn wedding venue located in Union Valley, Texas. It is nestled in an open field surrounded by huge oak trees. The grounds have a rustic, country charm that host flower gardens, a grove, an old feed shed and even a swing. When you first walk into the Barn, you soon realize you are not just in any barn. The tall white walls lead up to beautiful chandlers and a large barn doors at the end. Photographing a wedding in this barn is every photographers dream…..the light is amazing!!!! (all images shot on film)I am so lucky to photograph in so many different wedding venues in California, but my favorite of 2015 was the Hammer Sky Vineyards in Paso Robles. (all images shot with film)
The Washington coast, or more specific Ruby Beach in the Olympic Peninsula was such an amazing backdrop for this romantic bohemian elopement. I loved all the natural elements!!! Photographing along the Washington cost was amazing….I left like I was home….the colorful floral’s, mussel shell decor, and the beautiful use of driftwood. The intimate setting was magical and perfect for an elopement!!!
